Recent storms in Sudbury, Ontario, resulted in several damaged homes from high winds and hail.
The storm, pictured below, blew out windows, knocked down trees and electrical poles, and all within a period of just five minutes!
Then the power went off.
The power for most of Sudbury did not return for 12 hours and the phone calls to our Sudbury rental team began.
As the calls came in, the Total Power Sudbury rental team flew into action renting to grocery stores, restaurants, power and utility companies, and other businesses looking for immediate help.
This storm, ironically happening just before Emergency Preparedness Week, serves as a good reminder to ensure you are properly prepared!
Total Power rents generators as small as 15kW up to 2,000W and we offer load banks of all sizes and types. Our rental equipment is built to stand up to the rigors of our tough demanding client base with products that will perform reliably when needed.
Emergency rental deliveries – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Grant Farrow , a national service sales manager with Total Power, recently authored a two page article in the November issue of Condo Business entitled “How to Optimize Generator Installations”.
Grant highlights four major factors that will affect generator or service costs in all condominiums. They include: 1) the make, model and kilowatt rating of the generator 2) the location of the generator 3) the load bank connection points and 4) room access and cleanliness.
By considering these four factors, Grant suggests it’s possible for developers and property managers to minimize the annual service costs associated with generator maintenance in condominium buildings.
